Dan, I have had success using the INST input with the INST Input Level at the 9 o'clock position and the Master Level all the way up (5 o'clock position). Since the Mackie puts out a line level signal, to use the INST input (which supports instrument level) requires a comparably low input level setting. -- Kevin
