To change tempo during delay mode try multiply...record with  
quantize=off.

This will allow you to do lots of polyrhythmic stuff, too.

What I still like to do a lot is using the Echolex as a looper with  
the option of fading out the old and overdubbing new material:

Stutter Mode - Set Feedback Knob to 50 percent - a phone plug with  
nothing connected to it stuck into the Feedback Pedal socket

This way, a LongMultiply will put you into some sort of delay mode.

It works just as well with delay mode the way Per described it. But  
the nice things about computers and life: There often is more than  
just one way to get the desired results.
