Excuse me, Mark, for jumping in here. I don't keep a Repeater any  
more but I remember my trick to deactivate a stereo track and turn  
into two mono tracks. I used my FCB to send the Repeater a command  
for "Track X Record Select" (addressing either left or right stereo  
channel as "a mono track") and then I did a quick overdub to that  
track (just "silent overdub" If I did not want to record, just split  
the stereo pair). This was working fine for many concerts.

I used that manoeuver as part this trick:
Overdubbing many layers of my mono instument playing ambient sounding  
notes to form a mono cluster chord on that stereo track. Splitting  
the stereo pair (as above). Slip one of the tracks by some values and  
pan the two tracks left-right (one FCB button sending all necessary  
MIDI commands). The result is a very wide stereo pad.
